This week we will fasten our seat belts and delve into the presidency's of Thomas Jefferson, James Madison and James Monroe to conclude the unit of A New Nation.

The election of 1800 a.k.a "revolution of 1800"

Students will understand and explain why the election of 1800 is often referred to as the revolution of 1800?

-In Monroe's presidency Federalist party will seize to exist.

-After War of 1812 Americans gain a sense of new pride and nationalism.

-Monroe takes advantage of this by issuing the Monroe Doctrine sending Europe a strong message!!

This week we continue with a New Nation concluding the presidency of George Washington and introducing the 2nd U.S. President John Adams

This week District Benchmark #2 Reading and Math/Algebra

On Thursday we will interpret Washington's Farewell Address
