This school year 8th graders lets adopt the mentality of beginning with the end in mind!
How shall we begin?
We will begin by recognizing what is in store for this school year, for one it is your final chapter in your middle school years so as you reflect on the past two years how do you feel you have improved or need to improve as a person, student, brother, son?
Academically speaking, the bar has been set high by last years students I though have complete faith that you all can be as successful if not more but one must prepare and attitude is everything. You will enter my classroom as winners and you will exit as superstars!!!
Success does not come without effort and effort doesn't come without a goal.
So what then is your goal for your final year in the BEST middle school in Texas?
I for one will discuss my class expectations and goals for you all on Monday because understanding our purpose is key to success in anything we do!! Will it be easy? No, but you will never be alone with my effort and guidance and you doing your part is how I know that this class as a whole WILL succeed!!

Monday- Class syllabus, class procedures, and District Handbook Policies
Tuesday- Assembly with Mrs. Gonzalez
Wednesday-Work on Interactive notebook cover page and work on world map and U.S. map
Thursday-Begin notes on European Exploration & Christopher Columbus
Friday-Quiz on Maps
