Week of Oct. 31- Nov. 4, 2016

This week marks the end of the 2nd Six weeks time is going by way to fast....

We will be continuing with the causes of the American Revolution.

Tea Act leads to Tea Party which leads to Intolerable Acts causing tensions to escalate between colonists and British.

Intolerable Acts have a backlash effect uniting the colonies for the first time and prepare plans to meet in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania which is known as the First Continental Congress

Three weeks prior to the Second Continental Congress, Samuel Adams dreams come true....


Lexington and Concord 

Colonists Split support for Independence grows....

Week of October 17-20, 2016

This week is the 3rd week of the 2nd six weeks, we will continue with Road to Revolution and also take mini-assessment this week...

***Monday*** On Friday students were assigned pages 3&4 of Thomas Paine's treasonous pamphlet "Common Sense"which we will begin to discuss on Monday October 17th.

-What was the aftermath of the so-called "first world war"
-Were colonists in the right in reacting to Parliaments handling of war debt and the obtaining of new territory?

Week of October 3-7, 2016

This week marks the beginning of the 2nd six weeks!! Begin with the end in mind!!
I am very proud of all your hard work and efforts in the 1st six weeks lets continue with the same mindset!
This week in class we will review six weeks exam and continue class discussion on the Enlightenment period and its impact on the world and the First Great Awakening in the American Colonies.
