Week of November 29 - December 3, 2016

Welcome Back Falcons!!!!
I hope you all had a wonderful break and are re-energized to give it our all in the weeks that remain in 2016!!




Time, time we are running out of time....LOTS to cover this week my students, we will continue where we left off reciting the introduction to the birth certificate of our nation, understand its importance and how its the American Creed!!

Once we are done with the Declaration of Independence we will continue with significance events of the American Revolution with the focus on the Revolutionary War, also the many significant individuals that played a key role in contributing to the success of liberating colonists to form their own independent country.

Outline of content to be covered this week:

-conclude Declaration of Independence 
*principles 
*grievances
-John Adams Series- bringing to life significant events of the American Revolution with the works of the great historian, David McCullough's book John Adams and the brilliant Tom Hanks along with HBO, who turned it into a series THANK YOU!! 



-Battle of Lexington and Concord
-Battle of Bunker Hill
-Battle of Saratoga
-Valley Forge
-Battle of Yorktown
-Treaty of Paris 1783
